I need to buy some really high end reel to make myself happy.which rod should go with that.I have so many reels n rods but they just cant get broken cos I sort of a maintenance freak, everyday after fishing I will strip n clean the reel.So use to that its like 30minutes the most.which is better, high end but a bit decent/appropriate just more than usual.

The gold series.Great for surf or offshore fishing.they have combos with up to ten foot rods.
I’d switch off to Shimano either baitcaster or spinning for the surf. I have two big spinning reels I bought from bass pro shops, bought the ugly stick 13 & 15ft from cabelas.com Funny how one always seems to have a better price on one part of my combos.
I think a lot of the Penn reels are over-rated and $$$. Never put much into daiwa except for freshwater baitcasting…don’t like their freshwater spinning reels.
Good luck …
I gave up on shimano,
okuma, forget it.
I bought two Team Diawas. the blue ones. Very happy with both.
If you surf fish you probably can answer that question yourself. I dont use the rods over 8ft. Some dont know how to fish without them. And it depends on where you fish as well. and what are you trying to catch.
whatever it is keep what youre gonna eat. leave the rest.
Fish-On!
